Magic City Kiwanis will host or support the following events

Oct 4th

Magic City Kiwanis members will deliver roses in the Barberton area this morning. To order roses click on www.plkiwanis.org

Oct 4th

Under the direction of Woodford School principal Jason Ondrus, we will host a picnic for Barberton third graders who have passed the proficiency test.

Oct 11th

Friends of the Library host author Tom Batiuk who will sign copies of his
book “Lisa’s Story-The Other Shoe” and accept donations for the Ireland Cancer Center.

Oct 18th

9 AM - Noon Document shredding opportunity-Old high school parking lot at Newell and Hopocan. Limit ten boxes or bags per person

Oct 18th

4:30 - 6:30 PM. Member of Magic City Kiwanis will volunteer at the Barberton Area Community Ministries Swiss Steak Dinner and silent auction. For more info call 330-745-3693

Oct 25th

1 AM – 1 PM – We will have volunteers passing out candy to kids for the
Downtown Trick or Treat, sponsored by Grow Barberton Inc., of which we are a member. Some area businesses on 2nd St. NW, West Park and West Tuscarawas will be participating. Costume judging at 1:15PM at the
Lake Anna Gazebo.

Nov 1st

Wine tour to the Geauga County Area. Under the capable leadership of our president, Mark Nitz, a bus load of Magic City Kiwanians will head out for wine country for lunch and wine tastings at a series of wineries

Nov 7th

Magic City Kiwanis live art auction. View the art at 6PM, auction begins 7 PM. Put on by the AJRoss Gallery of New York. Snacks and beverages complimentary for attendees. Invitation necessary, to receive one call 330-825-2225

Nov 18th

Clergy appreciation day at our regular morning meeting. Members invite their clergy to join us for breakfast, the program and a small gift.

 

SUPPORTING US

There are many ways to support Magic City Kiwanis.  The first and most obvious one is to join.  Membership is open to men and women interested in helping children and bettering their community.  We are holding a prospective members’ inquiry session at Hopocan Gardens, 6:00 PM on May 22nd.  For more information call Dick Smith at 330-645-9317.

Come to our events.  We hold an art auction the first Friday of November at the Moose.  At the art auction, we have various raffles in addition to beautiful selections in all price ranges presented by the A. J. Ross Gallery of New York.  Call Diane Breiding, 330-745-2255 for more information.

In May we host a pancake breakfast during the Cherry Blossom Fest. Our pancakes with fruit toppings are second-to-none.  This event is held at the Saint Augustine Social Center on Saturday of the festival.

Buy something we are selling.  In August, we start our annual Entertainment Book sale as well as Kiwanis roses.
